1) what brought you into 3D?
In 1999 i found an article on internet about Poser.....everything started from that point!It was like a Christmas gift…can’t believe to my eyes….love at first sight.
 
2) How did you choose your nickname?
Love , really love the comic artist Alan Davis who is my bigger inspiration.
 
3) How long have you been creating your artwork?
Since 1999.....it's a long way , tried always to grow up as an illustrator and storyteller.....still have to improve and hone my skills. I started with Poser but 4 years ago I choose Daz Studio over the first one. It suits better my tastes.
 
4) Where do you draw your inspirations from?
From a lot of different sources : from my Italian heritage, i live in a country where art, history and beauty are in our dna...even in this difficult moment. From comics of course ,which I try to convey in my art, and also from a lot of different artists : Norman Rockwell, Gil Elvgren, Caravaggio, Edward Hopper, Van Gogh , John Byrne and the oriental art….a strange mix!
 
5) what are the specs of your render machine?
HP with a CPU  Intel core i.5 with 16G  ram ......nothing special....but it works quite smoothly.
 
6) what is your favorite work you’ve created? 
I do not have a special one....i love all my works 'cause they're all an expression of my creativity in that specifically moment.
 
7) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
I choose this form of art due to his versatility! you can do pretty everything with the right attention to the details and of course a lot of hard work......but you know nothing is for free!
 
8) What are your plans for the future?
Doing something specific like homoerotic art is really difficult ‘cause your audience is not a big one, that said you have to create every time the best and most intriguing image you can do in order to extend that audience, to capture the interest of those straight watchers so as to “force” them to click on your image.
Want to improve more in order to achieve what I think is a big outcome.
Also really like to think that this "hobby" in a future could be my only work!
 
9) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
First of all Hellboy ( Soto ) he is extraordinary!!!! Erogenesis is another one that impress me with his capabilities. KristinF, Apocalypse and Sostene have a special place in my heart. I like a lot also Choppski, Jepe, Jools, Butchsl, Geramdrir, Bodo, Damselactionbabe, Pingolo ,LeeMoon, Varasah, Fallopiancrusader and  the iconic ManOfSteel.
 
10) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
First of all to study and fully knowing the program they using. To be curious and to be imaginative.
 
11) When developing your poses, what's been your most influential source for ideas?
Try to replicate the dynamic and the expression’s range of the human body and face. Norman Rockwell is the best for the expressions. Also the comics are a great source and inspiration.
 
12) Any hints on what your next project is going to include?
Now I’m working on a comic, My Frat Bro, you can find on Renderotica. The goal I want to accomplish is to be a good storyteller. Would like to work not only on images but mix them with dialogues and to create in this way a story.
 
13) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
In this moment don’t have any job ( my decision ) and I started to study Counseling…really interesting topic and profession…..it matches my curiosity.
 
14) With all the recent advancements in 3D technology what excites you the most? What do you dread the most?
Would like to work more with Render Engine that use indirect light…..but they are still so damn slow!!! ( except for Octane but you can use it only with Nvidia ) . Hope there will be some real improvements in the near future!
 
15) Speech time! any final words you have for your, fans and fellow 3D community?
I’m very humble and grateful to have this interview. It means a lot to me and I would never dreamed this could happen to me. Thanks to Teronsuke and all Renderotica  staff for this gift and to all those artists that always support me.
